Appearance: Pale skin, heart-shaped face, dark almond shaped eyes and black hair which she wears long. Still stick-figured, not yet curvy though she thinks she should be since she hit puberty last year. Average height for her age, but her head's a little big. It's awkward, and she hopes she'll grow out of it.
Personality: Though she's capable and she has the talent, she doesn't have much confidence in herself. She's very self-conscious, something she tries to hide, and is always trying to put a best face forward for her family. Her mother, a witch, is an extremely beautiful woman and a successful performer in Beijing, so there's a lot to live up to.
Zan doesn't go out of her way to be popular, but she friendly and does enjoy the company of her mates and others. Just not when it comes to any of her problems, which she insists on solving on her own.
History: As stated, Zan's mother Zhao Mei, is a successful and popular singer in the wizarding population of Beijing. Her father died when she was only an infint, and she didn't get to know him.
Zan has 3 younger siblings, Lan, Ju and San, all girls, so she has to set an example for them, live up to being the oldest, and be the daughter of a starlet who might not have paid enough attention to her when she was younger. Alas, such is life. She'll have to learn to get over it, and Hogwarts will help.
Mei decided to send her daughters off to arguably the best school in the world for an international education. Zan is the experiment, her sisters are not old enough to go yet.
